Whats New for 2023
Powerful New 2.7L Turbo Engine: The new 2.7L engine has been proven in the new Silverado and adapted to the Colorado's mid size frame. It powers all five trims with three variants that exceed the previous generation.
- 2.7L Turbo that outputs 237hp, 259 lb-ft of torque, and offers a max trailering capacity of 3,500 lbs. This is standard on the WT and LT.
- 2.7L Turbo Plus that outputs 310hp, 390 lb-ft of torque, and offers a max trailering capacity of 7,700 lbs. This is standard on the Z71 and Trail Boss.
- 2.7L Turbo High-Output that outputs 310hp, 430 lb-ft of torque, and offers a max trailering capacity of 7,700 lbs (6,000 lbs on ZR2). This is standard on the ZR2.
Enhanced Performance: The new Colorados come with three distinct chassis to better support both on-road, and off-road activities.

The drive modes are controlled via a selector knob in the center console.
- Normal: A balanced mode for everyday on-road driving
- Tow/Haul: Transmission shift points, throttle response and additional calibrations optimized for trailering and hauling
- Off-Road: Specific tractive and other dynamic performance features designed for general off-pavement driving
- Terrain: Designed for low-speed rock crawling, with specific throttle control, brake performance and other calibrations, with three settings
- Baja: Developed for high-speed desert running, with specific throttle control, transmission shifting and other body/drivetrain control calibrations.
